He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Carl Wilburn East, Sr. and Rebecca Abner East; his wife Dorothy Davis East; his brother Gerald East; his children, Anjanette Ables, Jerry East, Loretta Offutt and Teresa Henderson; and his siblings, Plemer East, Talmadge East, Leon East and Joy Oglesby. He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
