He was predeceased by: his parents, John Howard Sr. and Sadie Sparks. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Sue Hutson; his children, Andrea Sparks-Wadlington, Jason Sparks and Michael (Courtney Sparks); his grandchildren, Jordan, Brady, Adalyn, Willa, Palmer and River; and his sisters, Jackie Settles and Barbara Klinker.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Wiley Funeral Home & Cremation Services – Granbury (400 W US Hwy 377, Granbury, TX 76048). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the DFW National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
