He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Wood (Cheshire) and Paul W. Wood, Sr.; his wife Alice Wood (Evans) of Paris; his son Robert Eric Wood; and his sister Dorothy Gray (Wood).
He is survived by: his children, Mardell Wood and Grant Wood; his daughter-in-law Vicki Knight Wood; and his grandchildren, Jason Wood, Erica Wood Brunett, Veronica Gering (Robison), Elliott Robison, Cameron Wood and Rowan Vaughn (Wood). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home (606 W Airport Fwy, Irving, TX 75062). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Woodhaven Presbyterian Church (3650 N O'Connor Blvd, Irving, TX 75062). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 3:15 PM at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
In lieu of flowers, he requested that donations be made in his name to the Presbyterian Homes and Services.
