She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Lee Joyner and Mary Arnethia Barnes Joyner; and her siblings, Albert Joyner, Anita Williams and Doris Tompkins.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tarika Dowdell and Toyette; her grandchildren, Sierra and Andre'; her sister Mary Pender (Toy Dowdell Jr.) of Charleston, SC; and her pets, Roscoe and Pepper. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and dear friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church (1701 W Jefferson St, Grand Prairie, TX 75051).
