He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lee Hargrove, Jr. and Wilma Jean Hargrove (Maddox). He is survived by: his wife Lu Ann Hargrove of Grand Prairie; his son James Hargrove (Krisita) of Grand Prairie; his sisters, Donna Wilson (Doug) of Arlington and Teresa Patterson of Decatur, Illinois; his siblings-in-law, Mary Lou Dillon of Euless and William Dillon (Colleen) of Arlington; his grandchildren, Oliver and Evelyn Hargrove; and his siblings' children, Stacy Rivera (Eddie), Heather Putnam (Mike), Courtney Patterson, Chad Miller, Shaun Miller (Jordan), Joshua Miller, Christopher Miller (Amanda), Matthew Miller, Cody Patterson, Geoff Dillon (Rose Marie) and Matthew Dillon. He is also survived by 12 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews.
