He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Mary Schneider Spielhagen and Fredric Spielhagen; and his brother Gerard Spielhagen. He is survived by: his wife Lana Jones of Grand Saline; his children, Bernard "Chris" Spielhagen II (Rosie) of Massachusetts, Sean Spielhagen (Stephanie) of Clarksville, Fredric Spielhagen (Krystin) of Corinth, Jessica Keegan (Joe) of Vero Beach, FL and Samantha Blain (Clifton) of Denton; his stepsons, Daniel Jones, Christopher Jones, Timothy Jones and Joseph Jones; his sister Freddie Anne Quilla (Thomas) of Wilmington, NY; and his sister-in-law Dr. Fran Spielhagen of Warwick, NY. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Bartley Funeral Home (1015 W Wolfe St, Grand Saline, TX 75140). A funeral service was held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Creagleville Cemetery.
