Though Mary Ruth may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mary Ruth touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her father Arvel Herring; her husband Henry Skinner; her son Jerry Skinner; her siblings, Lorna Herring and Bill Herring; and her granddaughter Emily Collins.
She is survived by: her mother Delois Herring Langston of Grand Saline; her children, Ricky Skinner of Greenville and Tammy Worsen (Stephen) of Grand Saline; and her siblings, Eddie Herring (Nancy) of Arizona, Clay Herring of Kansas City, MO and Brenda Finley (Chuck) of Joplin, MO. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bartley Funeral Home (1015 W Wolfe St, Grand Saline, TX 75140). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
