He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Nivens and Iva Nivens; and his siblings, Odell Nivens, Thelma Lee Miller and Ila Bell Solomon Lowell.
He is survived by: his wife Martha E. Nivens; his sons, Steven Nivens (Lisa) and Troy Nivens; his grandchildren, Kyle Nivens (Allison), Kaley Bradley (Nathen), Tyler Nivens (Gaylen) and Tate Nivens; and his great grandchildren, Kaleb Nivens, Maci Bradley, Molli Bradley and Blake Nivens.
