It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Renee Schmidt Armstrong (Grangerland, Texas), born in Houston, Texas, who passed away on May 20, 2025, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Renee Schmidt may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Renee Schmidt touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gearldean Price Kelley and Robert Ellis Merritt; her stepfather Ura Eugene Kelley; her brothers, Virgle Lee Kelley and Harold Gene Kelley; and her son Kyler Wayne Schmidt.
She is survived by: her sister Dorthey B. Rape; and her stepchildren, Kallie Miller (Ben) and Zach Armstrong. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
