He is survived by : his wife Susan Matthews of Grapeland, TX; his children, William Shane Matthews of Liberty Hill, Amanda Herbrough (Mitchel) of Midland, Justin Emmons of Grapeland and Courtney Matthews of Grapeland; his grandchildren, Lane Loden, Will Matthews, Rebecca Matthews, Ryan Lackey, Garret Herbrough, Isabel Herbrough, Harlan Herbrough, Alexandra Matthews, Lorebeth Herbrough, Kadence Emmons, Ryker Emmons, Case Emmons and Eli Mullens; and his siblings, Shirley Howell, Carolyn Johnson and John Mark Matthews.
