It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Harris Stites of Greenville, Texas, born in Bennington, Oklahoma, who passed away on May 7, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Richard P Harris and Cleo Wilma Morgan; her husband Jimmy Stites; and her son Travis Stites. She is survived by : her children, Allen Stites, Larna McDowell and Tamra Miller (Kevin); and her grandchildren, Tristan Glen (Lauren), Brad Coker, James Coker (Laura), Victoria Allison (Brandon), Christopher Frazier and Mandy Nicole McDowell. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, adopted children, and grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home (2022 N Center St, Bonham, TX 75418). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel (2022 N Center St, Bonham, TX 75418).
