He is survived by : his friend Orfelinda Luna; his mother Zeferina Rodriguez Montenegro; his siblings, Joaquin Luna, Hortencia Vargas, Martin Castro, Belen Calderon, Juana Rodriguez, Vicente Castro and Jose Castro; his daughter Josie Luna; his grandchildren, Celeste Perez, Esperanza Perez, Estephanie Perez, Reyna Pettus, Madisyn Pettus, Alexander Pettus, Josue Torres, Maite Torres, Alma Vargas, Lupita Ibarra and Gael Gutierrez; his friend Vicente Castro Sotelo; his niece Alma Vargas; his uncle Cayetano Rodriguez Montenegro; and his cousins, Margarita Razo and Carmen Razo.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 8th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Peters Funeral Home (4201 Wellington St, Greenville, TX 75401). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Williams Catholic Church (4300 Stuart St, Greenville, TX 75401).
