He was predeceased by : his parents, Elly Mortensen and Frederik Mortensen; his siblings, Anna Lise Mortensen and Niels Mortensen; his mother-in-law Dell Kurlan; and his sister-in-law Lynette Malkey.

He is survived by : his wife Marilyn Mortensen; his daughters, Kimberlee Phillips (Patrick) and Mindi Lindsey; his grandchildren, Caleb, Téa Lindsey, Hannah Thornton, Jessica, Summer, Jordan Phillips and Alyssa Miller; his nephews, Lars Mortensen, Peter Mortensen (Isabelle), Henrik Persson (Ida), Brant Malkey and Hank Brantley (Katy); and his great-nephew Paul.

A wake was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM.
