He was predeceased by: his parents, Saul J. Speyrer and Lucille Speyrer; and his sister Sarah Champagne of Leonville, Louisiana.. He is survived by: his wife Arlene Collins; his brother James H. Speyrer of Dayton, Ohio; his daughter Libby; his son-in-law Lyndon Stromberg of Greenville; his children, Cindy Speyrer of Rockwall and Kevin; his daughter-in-law Laurie Speyrer of Greenville; and his son Mark Speyrer of Rockwall. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Community of Jesus Crucified, 103 Railroad Avenue, St. Martinville, LA 70582.
