She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Copeland and Alma Montez Stewart (Snow); her stepparents, Faye Copeland and Franklin Stewart; her brother Bill Copeland; her parents-in-law, Gilbert and Madelle Hughes; and her siblings-in-law, Huck Hughes, Rastus Hughes, Mickey Green, Harold Bumpurs, Clifford Meredith, Polly Bumpurs and Patsy Green.

She is survived by: her husband Elbert O. "Butch" Hughes of Old Union; her daughters, Cindy Hughes of Old Union and Alaine; her son-in-law Trent Long of Teague; her grandchildren, Rani Noey of Old Union, Flint Noey of Old Union and Delainey Long of College Station; her brothers, Roy Copeland of Marquez, Fred Copeland, Jr. (Jennifer) of Groesbeck, Gary Stewart (Denise Stewart) of Marquez and Brian Stewart of Marquez; and her sisters-in-law, Lindy Meredith of Groesbeck, Mary Hughes of Old Union and Patsy Henderson of Teague. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
