She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Cowey and Vivian Wetz; her brothers, Larry Mertz and Rocky Cowey; her niece Staci Montgomery; and her aunt Margaret Cowey.
She is survived by: her husband Leonard Gomez, Jr.; her children, Connor Kevin Gray (Shelly), Robby Cowey (Stefanie), Casey Witt, Leonard Gomez III, Cesar Lopez and Marlena Lopez; her grandchildren, Christopher, Hailey, Xavier, Wyatt, Sofia, Elijah, Everly, Trenton and Landon; and her siblings, Cheryl Sterling and Randy Mertz.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and at 3:00 PM at the Under the Faulkenberry Cemetery Pavilion (1215 E Yeagua St, Groesbeck, TX 76642). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 at 3:15 PM at the Ends Under the Faulkenberry Cemetery's Pavilion (1215 E Yeagua St, Groesbeck, TX 76642).
