It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vivian Anne (Marcel) Gallentine (Groves, Texas), born in Leonville, Louisiana, who passed away on March 26, 2010, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 31st 2010 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Greenlawn Memorial Park (3900 Twin City Highway, Groves, Texas 77619). A burial was held on Wednesday, March 31st 2010 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Vivian Anne (Marcel) Gallentine, was born November 17, 1940 in Leonville, Louisiana. She was a resident of Port Arthur for 45 years and was a retired cook from Esther's Seafood Restaurant.
Vivian departed this life Friday, March 26, 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents Benoit and Adeline Marcel and her husband, James Gallentine, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, James, Jr. (Angela) of Killeen, Texas, Joseph Ronald (Tongela) Gallentine; daughter, Angela M. Guidry of Port Arthur, Texas; eight brothers, Josweph (Marita), Jessie (Reola), Benoit, Jr. (Eva, deceased), Fraqnk (Gloria "Jean"), Charles (Celestine), and Leon, all of Port Arthur, John (Gloria) of Houston, Texas, and twosisters, Linda Lemon (James) of Channelview, Texas; and Theresa Cormier (Michael) if Sunset, Louisiana; a special friend, Rudy Foreman; and a close friend, Marisa Kirt; also her former employers. Esther, John, Kirk Benoit; 8 grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 8 a.m. unmtil 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at St. James Catholic Church. Fueral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Father J. C. Coon officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
