He was predeceased by: his grandfather Gilberto T. Galvan; his brother-in-law Michael Ray Ruiz; his cousins, Veronica Ruiz and Gregorio Nathaniel "Nate" Mendieta IV; and his close friend Chelsea Rodriquez.
He is survived by: his parents, Rafael Jr. Lucero and Elizabeth Lucero (Galvan) of Hale Center; his wife Erika Lucero of Hale Center; his children, Christopher Max Lucero, Ryder Jet Lucero and Zaily Lucero of Hale Center; his grandparents, Nellie Trevino of Hale Center, Maria Barnes of Hale Center, Max Sr. and Diane Lucero of Arizona; and his brothers, Nickolas Lucero of Hale Center, Timothy Lucero of Hale Center and Max Lucero of Hale Center. He is also survived by 16 nieces, five nephews, and many aunts, uncles, cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM.
