She was predeceased by : her parents, H. B. Kennedy and Maggie Kennedy; her husband John McQuien; her children, Larry McQuien and Nelda Laney; and her siblings, Pete Kennedy, Zelda Karpe, Edna McLendon and Katherine Rankin.

She is survived by : her children-in-law, James E. "Pete" Laney of Hale Center and Carol McQuien of Fort Worth; her grandchildren, KaLyn Laney of Austin, Jamey, Ronald Phillips of Lubbock, Pete, Melonie Laney of Austin, John, Kendall McQuien of Houston and Scott McQuien of Fort Worth; and her great grandchildren, Grant, Gavin, Holden Phillips, Clayton, Kendall Laney and Carter McQuien.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Plainview Seniors Citizens Center, 1107 Smyth, Plainview, TX 79072 or The Rainbow Room, 700 W 11th St. in Plainview.
