He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacinto Zuniga and Julia Sanchez Zuniga; his wife Rosa Zuniga; his daughter Victoria Zuniga; and his siblings, Consuelo Garcia, Juana Zuniga and Pedro Zuniga.
He is survived by: his children, Mario Zuniga, Jr. of Olton, Sergio Zuniga of Hale Center, Priscilla (David Hernandez), Lisa Amador and Jennifer (Richard Cerbantez); and his siblings, Antonio Zuniga of Conway, Arkansas, Rosa Balderas of Carrizo Springs, Paula Villarreal of Carrizo Springs, Gloria Vargas of Carrizo Springs, Linda McGill of Fort Wayne, Olga Gonzales of Raleigh and Nieves Gonzalez of Fort Worth. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
