He was predeceased by: his parents, Hasell Wilson Taylor, Sr. and Lillian Lippincott Haines; his wife Claire Estelle Murray; and his sister Martha Taylor. He is survived by: his children, Susan (Philip O'Steen), Christine Taylor, Karen (Christopher Cagle), Claudia Taylor and Michael (Treva Taylor); his grandchildren, Michael, Heather Davis, Kelley Jones, Kendra, Jay Henderson, Boyce, Misti Davis, John Cagle, Catherine Mollenkopf, Josh Cormier, Laekin Darter, Kenny Hoskins, Raegin Callaway, Kierstan, Joshua Craig and Kaelin Taylor; his great grandchildren, Dakota Jones, Steven Tran, Kindle Jones, Bryce Chambers, Levi Jones, Shiloh Jones, Noah Jones, Abby Henderson, Avery Henderson, Preslee Davis, Greyson Davis, Landon Davis, Grayson Mollenkopf, Avery Cormier, Samira Greenwood, Steven Greenwood, Sariyah Greenwood, Kelayah Hoskins, Kennedy Kate Hoskins and Bricen Callaway; his brother Hase (Charlotte Taylor); and his son Hunter Kuhs.
A memorial service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ted Dickey West Funeral Home (7990 President George Bush Tpke, Dallas, TX 75252). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
