He was predeceased by: his parents, Desideria Ruiz Zepeda and Inez Zepeda; his siblings, Alejandro Zepeda and Amparo Castillo; his brothers-in-law, Nemesio Castillo, Ramon Castillo and Luis Castillo; and his nephew Abraham Zepeda.

He is survived by: his grandson August; his wife Elisa Zepeda; his daughters, Sarahi Douglas (Brenden) of Payson and Anahi McCauley (Tyler) of Rexburg, Idaho; his siblings, Miguel Zepeda (Concepción), Enrique Zepeda (Consuelo), Silvina Castillo, Ruben Zepeda (Leticia) of Nebraska and Jorge Zepeda (Guadalupe); and his sister-in-law Maria. He is also survived by numerous extended family, church family, and friends.
