We are sad to announce that on September 8, 2018, at the age of 87, James Byron Rives (Hardin, Texas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Wallace Oliver Rives and Ella Pet Cessna Rives; and his siblings, Allen Rives, Bennie Rives, Florence Rives Kaufman, Ruby Lee Rives Price and Janelle Rives Hunt.

He is survived by : his wives, Barbara "Bobbie" Nell Dunman and Barbara "Bobbie" Nell Rives of Hardin; his daughters, Kathy Rives Hooper of Belmont and Kay Rives of Hardin; his sister Annie Jo Davis of Liberty; and his grandchildren, Chase W. Wilson, Jake James Hooper and Zachary Hilton Hooper.
