He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Rosa Cavazos. He is survived by: his children, Katherine Bedartes (Jose "Paco"), Michael Cavazos (Stephanie) and Adrian Cavazos (Maxine).
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rudy Garza Funeral Home - Harlingen (1702 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A rosary was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Departing the Rudy Garza Funeral Home (1702 E Harrison Ave, Harlingen, TX 78550). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (412 S C St, Harlingen, TX 78550). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the RGV Veteran's State Cemetery (2520 Inspiration Rd, Mission, TX 78572).
