He was predeceased by: his parents, Catarino Ruben and Martha Vasquez, Sr. (Carlos). He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Vasquez; his children, Ruben Vasquez, III, Eric Vasquez and Amanda Vasquez; and his siblings, Alejandro Perez, Janie Gomez, Maggie De La Fuente and Cris Carlos. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
