She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Charles Gustav and Mildred Balderston Kunze; her boyfriend Victor Miller of Harlingen, Texas; her sister Joan Beall of Pocatello, Idaho; her children, Tami Burgon Pitman of Australia, Steve Burgon of San Marcos and Kristi David (Tony) of Rio Hondo, Texas; her grandchildren, Melanie Leesong (Daniel) of Tasmania, Alicia Pitman, Stephanie Pitman of Australia, Kelsea Johnson (Cody) of Moulton and Trevor David (Ashley) of Harlingen; and her brother Jack Kunze of Pocatello, Idaho.. She was also cherished by 13 great grandchildren.

Memorial gifts may be made to Darleen's favorite charities, Harlingen's Humane Society or St. Jude Children's Hospital in lieu of flowers.
