He was predeceased by : his parents, Domingo Gomez Ortega and Genobeba Garza Ortega Mario; and his wife Diana Serna Ortega. He is survived by : his children, Mario Alberto Ortega (Linda), Jennifer Marie Ortega and Michael Anthony Ortega; his grandchildren, Mario Matthew Ortega, Katherine Grace Ortega and Tiffany Joy Ortega; and his siblings, Elida Ortega Mota (Salvador), Juanita Duran (Louie), Leonel Ortega (Connie), Nora Ortega Lang (Ron), Lupita Ortega, Anna Ortega Lopez (Freddie), Margarito Ortega (Mary), Domingo Ortega Jr. (Lori), Ovidio Ortega and Joe Ortega (Ida). He is also survived by brothers and sister in law and many nephews and nieces.
