He was predeceased by: his parents, Pedro Gomez and Maria Alaniz Gomez; and his siblings, Roberto Hernandez and Aurora Ibarra. He is survived by: his wife Maria Teresa Gomez; his daughters, Mariza Gomez and Amanda Gomez; and his siblings, Ismael Hernandez, Martha Garcia, Irma Palomo, Estella Sauceda (Baldemar), Santos Gomez (Maria) and Rosemary Gomez Rivera (Rosie). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM and at 9:00 PM at the Rudy Garza Funeral Home (236 S Ohio Ave, Mercedes, TX 78570). A prayer was held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM and at 1:45 PM. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Mercedes Memorial Restlawn Cemetery (301 Jose M Cantu Rd, Mercedes, TX 78570-4706).
