It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Don McConathy (Hawley, Texas), who passed away on October 28, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Marshall and Elvie Irene McConathy; his siblings, Marshall McConathy, Kenneth McConathy and Margaret Ann; and his great grandchild Nora Catherine McConathy.
He is survived by: his wife Pauletta McConathy; his children, Patti Burrow (Vance) and Jim McConathy (Elnara); his grandchildren, Wendi Rice (Brian) of Hawley, Kristi Ammons (Jon) of Abilene, Jesse McConathy (Lynn) of Prosper, Jeremy McConathy (Tiffany) of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Christina "Nikki" Burrow (Jonathan) of Abilene and Emma McConathy of Lake Dallas; his great grandchildren, Kaylee Jones (Saxon), Avarie Rice, Brazos Rice, Easton Rice, Kara Ammons, Josie Ammons, Oliver McConathy, Ian McConathy, Zane McConathy, Chaizley Burnham and Aria Jenkin; his great great grandchild Mollee Jones; and his sisters-in-law, Nell McConathy and Yoshi McConathy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Clearfork Baptist Church (14116 US-277, Hawley, TX 79525).
