He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Effie Smith; his granddaughter Sarah Paige Stanfield; his father Curtis R. Smith; and his grandparents, R. E. (Doc), Minnie Belle Menefee Young, James A. J. and Martha Ann Wylie Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ross Smith; his children, Suzy Smith Swanson (Chad), Tate Ross Smith (Tiffany) and Curt Young Smith (Alicia); his grandchildren, Cannon Young Smith, Addison Mary Smith, Caroline Mae Smith, Gentry Lynn Smith, Darby Tate Smith and Gracen Hope Swanson; his brothers, Ross Menefee Smith and James Robert Smith; his nieces, Christine Victoria Smith and Allison Smith Copple; and his great-nephews, Henry Orlando Copple and Theodore Ross Copple.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the C. Larry Smith Scholarship Fund for graduates of Tatum High School.
