She was predeceased by : her parents, Jack Simmons and Carol Simmons; and her sister Carey Simmons. She is survived by : her husband Fred Placke III; her child Fred Placke IV; her wife Erin of Austin; her grandchildren, Avery, Gabriel, Avner, Mckinley, Charlie and Peyton; her brothers, Mike Simmons and Mark Simmons; and also, Rebekah O'Sullivan (James) of Dallas, Gregory Placke of Houston and Carey Frazer (James) of Highland Village.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be considered to the Lewisville ISD Education Foundation for the Caren Linn Placke Memorial Scholarship.
