With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edna Hope Owens (Highlands, Texas), who passed away on April 18, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, we take solace in the memories we hold dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Edna Hope may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was predeceased by : her husband Bernis Owens; and her siblings, Ernestine, Freda and Dale. She is survived by : her sons, Steve (Gracie), Burt (Janet) and Russell. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sterling-White Funeral Home (11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd, Highlands, TX 77562). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Sterling White Funeral Home (11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd, Highlands, TX 77562).

“My daughter, Becky and I were warmly and pleasantly treated to so much motherly love and hospitality during our first and only brief visit from Canada to Grandma Hope's home. A couple phone exchanges with her made me feel we have been friends and family for quite a it affirmed to me that loving others well and loving God are inseparable.
