She was predeceased by: her father Obie James; her children, Benny Lewis Tyus and Mona "Sissy" Davis; her siblings, Carol Reynolds, Barbara Sue Spore and Jerry James; and her mother Hazel Oralla Sutton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Norma Jean Austin and Carrie Allison Tyus (Theo); her grandchildren, Sherrie Lloyd (Shannon Lloyd), Bridget Smith, Amy Austin, Aaron Austin (Aja), Amber Yancy (Omar) and Ricky Joe Moore (Caty); and her great grandchildren, Jeffrey Smith (Alana Smith), Joseph Smith, Ryan Battles, Justin Gill, Jordan Lloyd, Jase Lloyd, Mia Lloyd and Destany Gonzalez.
This woman survived covid and was still convinced that her cigarettes had nothing to do with her health!
