He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth "Betty" Hazel Tessier and Hubert Gardner; his former spouses, Jima Gardner and Melissa Hart; and his brother Rick Gardner.
He is survived by: his children, James Kaye (Maria Kaye), Philieza Rice (Lonny Rice), Kindall Kaye, Kortney McMillion and Heaven Kaye; and his sisters, Janie Guilliams and Luane Stag. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and many friends.
