He was predeceased by : his parents, Simon Rodriguez and Ysabel Venegas Rodriguez; his children, Patricia Marie Rodriguez and Paul Blas Rodriguez; and his siblings, Trini Daniel, Alfred Rodriguez, Martha Castillio, Fransico Morales, Guadalupe Gutierrez and George Morales.

He is survived by : his wife Effie Rodriguez; his children, Jimmy Rodriguez and Rose Leonard; his grandchildren, Jimmy Rodriguez, Asa Leonard, Catherine Cook, Matthew Rodriquez, Jasmine Dugat, Anthony P. Davis, Michael J. Garcia, Frederick Reed, Albert Rodriguez, Christina Reed, Edward J. Rodriguez, Joseph Rodriguez, Vincent Rodriguez and Emilio Rodriguez; and his siblings, Manda Hernandez and Raymond Rodriguez. He is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hayes Funeral Home Chapel (10412 Hwy 6, Santa Fe, TX 77510). A vigil service was held on Friday, May 24th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (10114 Hwy 6, Hitchcock, TX 77563). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery (7801 Gulf Fwy, Dickinson, TX 77539).
