He was predeceased by: his parents, Emiel Joseph and Leonia DeBaker Van Damme; his son Kenneth Van Damme; his grandson Travis Van Damme; and his brothers, Julian Van Damme (Kathy) and Rene Van Damme.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Van Damme; his children, Brian Van Damme (Nancie), Glenn Van Damme (Laurie) and Elizabeth Ballard (Kenny); his daughter-in-law Dawn Van Damme; and his grandchildren, Brianne, Garrett, Amber, Joshua, John, Jordan, Kolten and Melanie.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
