With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rosemary Barrientes Escobar of Hondo, Texas, who passed away on April 12, 2024 at the age of 56. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her father Arturo G. Barrientes. She is survived by : her husband Merce "Sonny" Escobar; her children, Sonny Escobar, Jr., Arturo Barrientes Escobar, Christopher David Escobar and Jennifer Nicole Escobar (Ralf); her mother Rosa Ytuarte Barrientes; her sisters, Alicia Barrientes Renteria (Rigo), Patricia Barrientes (Juan), Christina Barrientes (Dave) and Isabelle Marie Barrientes (Kevin); and her grandchildren, Josiah Escobar and Zaelynn Hidalgo.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Hondo Funeral Home (2910 Avenue E, Hondo, TX 78861). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at the Hondo Cemetery.
