He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrea Salazar and Felix Salazar; and his sisters, Josefina Ramirez and Maria Villa. He is survived by: his wife Katerina Salazar; his children, Gary Salazar (Amy), Rene Salazar (Katherine) and Jennifer Rivera (Jorge); his sisters, Paubla Salazar and Sylvia Ramirez (Raymond); his grandchildren, Ashton, Catherine Grace Salazar, Brian Musquiz, Derek Rivera, Cassandra Magnus (Matthew), Annalisa, Maygan, Miya and Keegan Salazar; and his great grandchild Kaeden. He is also survived by sisters, and step-brothers.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hondo Funeral Home (2910 Avenue E, Hondo, TX 78861). A rosary was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at the Hondo Cemetery.
