He is survived by: his wife Guadalupe Garza; his children, Carmen (Alex), Villarreal, Aurelia, Cynthia Pena (Vince), Adolfo III Garza (Rita), Ricardo Garza (Michelle), Lena Abrego (Rolando) and Michael Garza (Cecelia); and his siblings, Nestora Garza, Juanita Rangel, Ofelia Guajardo and Esther Valdez. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, and many of his great friends.
