He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cecil Thomas and Helen Margaret Smith; his wife Shirley Marie; his daughter Mary Theresa Thompson; his son-in-law Charlie; his granddaughters, Hannah Helene and Sarah Katherine Thompson; his son Brad Matthew Smith; his daughter-in-law Jeanine Elizabeth; and his son Christopher Smith. He was also cherished by one brother, four sisters, 48 nieces and nephews, and a few grand-nieces and nephews.
