She was predeceased by: her husband Willie James Preston; and her children, Nathaniel, David, Terry and Christine.
She is survived by: her daughter Karen F. Preston; and her siblings, Urnell Johnson, Ella Mae Rodgers and Mitchell Malveaux. She is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Evelyn Banks Mitchell Memorial Chapel (5002 Hershe St, Houston, TX 77020).
