He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Obdulia Fernandez and Hilario Salas; his wife Irma Salas; his children, Obdulia Elizabeth Valdez (David Lee), Marco Antonio, Sandra Jean Treviño, Martha Cecilia Puente Lopez (Juan Fidel) and Laura Puente Carpio (Juan Samuel); his grandchildren, David Lee, Kyle Benjamin, Rayne E., Peyton Elizabeth, Alexandria Nicole, Samantha Rebecca, Samuel M., Sarai and Claudia; and his great grandchildren, Aurora, Omar, Mateo, Ximena and Mayte.
