She was predeceased by: her father Ahmad Holmes; her husband Rufus Hamilton III; and her son Jason Tyron Hamilton. She is survived by: her mother Audrey Jean Holmes; her children, Rufus Hamilton, IV and Nicole Hamilton Smith (Marcus); her stepson Andre Hamilton; her siblings, Sylvester Holmes (Louito), Rose Minton, Joseph Holmes (Curhonda), Ahmad Holmes, Angela Ramos Fields, Lord Morgan Carey, Nazer Sedeeq Holmes (Kathleen), Beverly Brown, Bonnie Munds (Andre), Gina Hudson and Antoinette Thorne (Derrick); her uncles, Ernest and Forrest Hudson (Joyce); her siblings' children, Blaize Fields, Grant Fields, Corey Minton, Blair Minton, Sylvester David Holmes, Nathan Holmes (Megan), Joseph Holmes II (Jo Jo), Jamar Holmes (Trey), Ciam Holmes, Oliver Holmes, Penny Rose Holmes Thompson (Toby), Stephanie Holmes, Monica Williams and Makayla Williams; her great-nieces, Diamond Singletary and Violet Holmes; her great-nephew Jeremiah Birt; and her close friends, Valencia Hogan, Pam Collins and Leticia Valdez (Lety). She is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.

Upon this foundation, the rock of a loving relationship was built that has endured for over 50 years and which will continue for eternity.
