She was predeceased by: her husband Edward P. Stegent; and her father Eli. She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Barron (David) and Gary Stegent; and her sister Catherine Kolarik. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In August of 2020, Barbara moved to Village of the Heights due to dementia and Covid.
