She was predeceased by: her parents, John Frances and Lily "Goldie" Shumate (Searcy); her husband Forrest "Bill" Sloan of Richmond; her daughter Ellen Jane Ogg; and her siblings, Vernon Shumate, Theresa Ferrin, Elsie Lee, Mary Ann Duncan, Alvena West and Velma Gensler.
She is survived by: her children, Billy G. Sloan of Houston, TX and Janna Lynn Poskey of Houston, TX; her grandchildren, Jeff Sloan (Shane Ford) of San Francisco and Ellen Poskey of Houston, TX; and her sister Billie June Perks of Richmond. She is also survived by her family and friends.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Humane Society of Ray County.
