He was predeceased by: his parents, Byrd Lacey, Sr. and Elizabeth Swearengin Lacey. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Lacey; his children, Kim Carter (Huey) of Houston, Texas., Dr. Jackie Ward (Darrin) of Houston, Texas. and Cheryl Lacey Donovan (Keith) of Houston, Texas.; his sister Deverlene Lacy; his aunt Evangeline Ferguson of Houston; and his sisters-in-law, Willie Mae Lacy and Frankie Lee Lacy. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, 51nieces and nephews.
A wake will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 611 Grove St, Houston, TX 77020. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church (3221 Bain St, Houston, TX 77026). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at the Brookside Memorial Park Cemetery (13401 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039).
