He is survived by: his wife Consuelo Aponte; his children, Carmelo Aponte Jr. (Patricia), Carmen Ramos (Robert), Alex Aponte and Iris Casas (Chris); his grandchildren, Krystin Nieto (Zeke), Matthew Casas (Caitlin), Carl Aponte (Lauren), Victoria Rodriguez (Adam), Courtney Patterson (Jacob), Carissa Aponte, Samantha Ramos, Molly Casas and Olivia Casas; and his great grandchildren, Ava Casas, Luke Nieto, Matthew Nieto, Lorelei Aponte, Nicolas Nieto, Vivian Patterson, Korina Nieto and Benjamin Rodriguez.
