He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Lummus and Eula Lummus; his wife Christine Lummus; his sons, Larry Gibson and Donald Gibson; his siblings, Wendle Lummus, Vernon Lummus and Christine Allison; and his son-in-law Lynn Mott.
He is survived by: his children, Tony Lummus, Greg Gibson (Gina), Julie Lummus, Teresa Mott and Mary Wood (John). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and a host of other friends and family.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hanner Funeral Service (103 W Main St, Atlanta, TX 75551). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the New Hope Cemetery (2924 Co Rd 4919, Bloomburg, TX 75556).
