It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dag Gustav Heggelund (Houston, Texas), who passed away on October 24, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Asta Heggelund and Rolf Heggelund. He is survived by: his wife Teri Heggelund; his children, John Heggelund, Philip Heggelund and Christy Hopkins; his grandchildren, Arthur Heggelund and Margot Heggelund; and his siblings, Per Heggelund, Ingrid Heggelund and Dagny Kristoffersen.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home (9926 Jones Rd, Houston, TX 77065). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
His pioneering work in Data Quality Management, Continuous Monitoring, and Continuous Auditing made lasting contributions to the oil and gas sector and to food traceability systems worldwide.
