She was predeceased by : her father Frank Paulis. She is survived by : her mother Dorothy Paulis; her sister Diane Estelle Strawn; her daughter Cheryl Chapman Smith; her grandchildren, Catherine Marie Smith, Jonathan Reagan Smith and Matthew Edward Smith; and her husband James Alton Chapman.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Earthman Resthaven Cemetery (13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060). A committal service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
